Why Didn’t I Have Such Toys?

The toys nowadays really amuse me. The only toys that I can remember that my siblings and I had when we were young were dolls or cars. Today, they already have tools, equipment, gadgets, even as small as projector bulbs.

I wasn’t aware that there was such until I saw our neighbor’s kid playing with a projector. That was really cool! My 8-year-old son had fun playing with him because that was the only time that he saw such toy too. Cool!

Such a Vivid Imagination He Has

My son received a lot of toys on his birthday. A lot of Lego sets, a toy motor home, toy cars, books, a baseball glove, and clothes. He plays with his toys everyday and you know kids, they act like those toys are real; he’s been acting like he is doing motor home repair with his toy motor home, acting like a pilot with his toy Lego airplane, , and so on. It amuses me seeing him like that. That’s how he entertains himself and I think it keeps him from getting bored.

LEGO Addict

Back home, he was addicted to computer games to the point that he would often sleep late at night. But when we got here, it all changed to LEGO which I am so happy about because I consider it an educational toy.

It all started last Christmas when he received a bunch of LEGO sets from my husband’s family. From then on, it’s what he likes playing the most. Even when he’s online, it’s the LEGO site that he visits.

I’ve taken the photo when we got home from his birthday party. He didn’t even change his clothes first before playing. That’s a gift he got and obviously, it really showed how excited he was to play with it.

He’s Yet to Know Real War

Among the many games my 7-year-old son plays, be it in a computer, toys or playing with his cousins back home, it is war game that he likes the most. He has been vocal about wanting to be a soldier someday of which my hubby opposes. But we just let him talk. At his young age, we know he still doesn’t know about certain things and we believe, his outlook could change when he grows up to be a young man.

My husband bought him a set of toy soldiers just recently as well as a remote-controlled army tank which made him so delighted. We could have added toy holographic sights and toy rifles so he could really feel the feeling of being a soldier, but we haven’t found any available. Nevertheless, he was overjoyed of what he got and we’re happy that we made him happy.

I will continue shopping for Yogi’s school things on Monday. Classes are set to open on June 7^th so I need to get it done as in PRONTO! I asked him earlier if he wanted to go with me to the mall and without second thoughts he said, yes and added that he wanted to have a new toy, a motorhome toy this time. I do wonder if the mall has one. I haven’t seen a motorhome toy before. I don’t know where he got that idea. And I guess I already know what’s going to happen next: he’ll want to play the motorhome towing man and for that he would need another toy. LOL. Well, you know kids. Sometimes they admire the simplest jobs, and can also think of ways to get more toys. A smart kid is he.

Scooby Doo and Shaggy

You might think that this is my son Yogi’s toy, huh? Nah-a! My fiance’ took this photo at his brother’s house on Christmas Eve. I forgot to ask him on what prompted him to take a shot of Scooby and Shaggy but most probably, he was amused with the toys or perhaps, they were his favorite cartoon characters. I still have to find that out. LOL.

Lightning McQueen

My son Yogi’s an avid fan of the movie Cars. He actually watched the movie numerous times on DVD. So, I got him a remote-controlled Lightning McQueen car on Christmas. And as expected, he was overjoyed to see what’s inside the box that I wrapped myself.

I took this picture before I wrapped it because I know for certain that I won’t be able to take a photo of it once Yogi got hold of it already. Isn’t it nice?

Malling with the Little Kiddo

It was on a Saturday, had to buy Yogi a new pair of shoes that he’s going to wear on his Uncle Erwin’s wedding when we saw these toys at the mall’s atrium on our way out. I asked Yogi to take a pose and he gladly obliged even with the saleslady looking at him. He wasn’t shy at all. He was enamored with the stuffed toys but gladly, he didn’t ask me to buy it for him ’cause it’s kind of expensive.
