Making it to the A/B Honor Roll in the First Grading Period already made us so proud. But we were so delighted when we got the great news. Our son, Yogi made it to the All A’s Honor Roll in the Second Grading Period. It gets no better than that. His teacher who was so kind and so supportive of him was so happy about it too. She actually put “Yay” on the comment section of his report card. That was so sweet of her.

Great job, Yogi! Keep it up!

It was some time in October or November when my son had their Math Night in school. Parents were invited to join and I was so glad we did. That was our first time to play games that had to do with Math and it was really fun. I never thought there were such games. They really are great games because it will teach the kids more about Math and develop their skills in it.

After the event was over, the teacher sent us copies of the games that we played for us to play at home. And the picture below is one of them. I played it with my son a couple of weeks ago here at home and we really had fun. The game is called “Close to 100″ wherein you are given six one-digit number cards. You will then choose four cards among the six that will make a total of 100 or close to 100. If you didn’t make a 100, then the difference would be your score. The one who has the smallest score, wins. You should try it.

My son including selected kids said their piece about Christmas. I was going to post my son’s photo here while doing it, but my computer is having problems. I will try to share it next time.

He has been an honor pupil way back in the Philippines when he was still attending Montessori School. But still it was a surprise for me because he is still adjusting at his new school. After learning about this, it looked like he was never affected of the change at all, huh?

My son’s school had their annual ‘Book Fair’ last month. We checked it out and the husband being so encouraging at the little one when it comes to reading, he let Yogi picked the books that he liked and the husband didn’t have second thoughts of buying all he had chosen for him.

Yogi chose three books, but the book ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ was the first one that he read and finished in two days’ time. We were so delighted learning what the impact had the book to him. He said his classmate read this book too in their school library.

The book has a series. I still haven’t checked Amazon for the others, but I will surely check in time. He is so into it now and I am really happy to know it, thus, I will support him all throughout. Me and the husband actually.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to witness the moment when he accepted his certificate for making it to the honor roll because I was not feeling good because the red flag is up. Gladly, Yogi understood that I couldn’t make it. I did tell him though that I will make it up with him next time. Being the smart kid that he is, he understood and didn’t make a big deal out of it.

Good boy, Yogi! Keep up the good work! Mwah!

The little one’s first periodical exams of this new school year started on Wednesday and whenever he gets home, he brags about how easy his exams were. He’s like, “Piece of cake, Mom!” And I would reply, “Good boy!” and he would smile.

His exams only last for two hours each day and they are given a break time in between hours to have their snacks. He’s been bragging about their new school furniture, a table where they put their grooming kits. They are trained to take good care of themselves at this early age which is good. He really described in detail what the furniture looks like, that it was huge, has a blue color and is very nice. Seeing him describing it is really amusing. He never fails to put a smile on my face with his innocent thinking. (“,)

I was busy arranging the office furniture in our home office around mid-morning yesterday when I received a call from Yogi’s teacher informing me that the school bus would not be of service the entire day because it broke down. Hearing that from her, I know I would be preparing myself after we talked because I needed to take Yogi to school. It was around 10 o’clock when she called and Yogi’s classes begin at 12 noon.

I hurriedly finished with the rearrangement that I was making in the office then I prepared Yogi for school and then got myself ready. We were both good to go by 11 o’clock and we left 10 minutes after that. I didn’t want to take the little one too early because he’d play before school started and would be dirty and sweaty when classes began at noon.

I fetched him at 5 o’clock, and just in time, too, before he’d already spent too much time playing with his classmates and friends; I wanted him clean when we got home to sit down to dinner. (“,)

School started for the little one last week but it wasn’t a busy one for me since they just spent the whole week orienting the students – old friends reacquainting and new ones getting to know each other. They were just playing most of the time as well as also coming to know their teacher.

And with the little one back to school, I don’t think I need weight loss products to lose weight because for certain, I will be losing some because of the pressure and all the tasks involved in seeing to my son’s needs. I have to wake up early to prepare my son’s things and food to take to school. I’ll also have to deal with helping him with his assignments and school projects. Such a never ending task for a mother, but despite the pressure, the fulfillment is there which makes everything simply worth it.

I was researching for mom who’s contemplating trying something different because she’s gained so much weight again and nothing so far has seemed to work for her.

Anyway, back to my son’s recognition. I’m glad I got there just in time to see my son Yogi receive his certificate as one of the honor pupils and we had our picture taken to commemorate the moment. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss that for the world because it’s another milestone for him. Whew!
