My Li’l Cherub is Sick

I am facing the computer monitor yet my mind is elsewhere. I started doing research about car insurance at www.carinsurancelist.com a few minutes ago seeing that we’re looking for new coverage, but I’ve been unable to understand anything that I’ve read at all.

What’s in my thoughts are really distracting because my son has not been in good health since yesterday and I am worrying about him. He’s having flu-like symptoms and has been complaining of an upset stomach since last night. He was a little hot when I touched him this morning though his temperature was normal when I checked using the thermometer. I made sure he had taken meds before living for school; I treated him for his runny nose, cough and upset stomach. I told him to call me here at home if he doesn’t get to feeling any better, and I do hope he will get well real soon.

Thankfully, We’re Covered

Did I not mention here about two weeks ago that my son had fever? And guess what? He’s having fever again. This weather is really the culprit because it has been really unpredictable lately. His fever started on Tuesday and I was actually thinking of admitting him to the hospital on Wednesday because his temp rose to 39.4 degrees Celsius. But his fever subsided after I gave him his meds and his temp remained below 39 degrees after that so I decided to wait and see what happens.

But I’m keeping a close watch on him and and if his temp goes up again then I will for sure take him to the hospital. I have no problem when it comes to that since we have health insurance. It will expire soon, though, and I need to check for more affordable health insurance quotes, but I’ll cross the bridge when I get there. I will for the moment focus my attention on my son and I do hope he’ll get better soon.

You Get What You Pay For

These are the things that I bought for Yogi’s recognition ceremony at his school and his birthday. He wore the polo-shirt to school and the long-sleeved shirt on his birthday. Both shirts are of brand names, thus, they weren’t cheap at all. I wish they were like the cheap insurance mom just got: more affordable but of high quality. Kids’ things are now even more costly than what adults wear, it seems.

I looked for some unbranded kids wear but I simply didn’t like what I saw. The clothes were as cheap as their price. I know there were quality goods there that were also cheap, but I just wasn’t in the mood to search further because we were running out of time, not to mention that our tummies were rumbling, too.

The price that I paid for those shirts were worth it, though, since they definitely are of high quality, and they were for very special occasions.

Gotcha, Mom!

I was reading a magazine in my bedroom yesterday afternoon when I heard mom and dad talking from the living room. I didn’t want to be an eavesdropper so I went out and joined them. They were talking about our car’s insurance that will expire soon. Upon learning about it, I know I’ll soon be checking for an auto insurance quote once again because I’ve always been the one tasked to do that. No problem since I will just let my fingers do the walking. Or my mouth do the talking in case I have to call and double check on the quotes I find; better safe than sorry.

Up until now, mom still hasn’t told me to look for one. But she’s not going to do the searching herself, I’m certain of that. She’s just so busy with other things at the moment that she hasn’t turned the job over to me…yet. (“,) So I think I will just keep quiet and wait, and in the meantime go ahead and do my duties so I can say, “Here ya go, mom; SURPRISE!” I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she realizes that the job is already done and good to go. HEE-HEE-HEE

We’re Soon To Be Teammates!

I was talking to my fiancé yesterday and he mentioned all the insurance that he needs and has, home insurance included. We usually talk about a lot of things in a day, but yesterday was different; the topic was all about insurance, especially since his current insurer is dropping all home policies and he’s going to have to find a new provider.

Lucky for me, I don’t have to think about home insurance or any of that stuff since my mom takes care of that; for now, anyway. But when the time comes that Yogi and I will be together with my fiancé, I’ll need to learn how to be deal with that kind of stuff. That’s a given because I’ll be helping my fiancé, my partner, in dealing with all aspects of our life together as a couple. But no worries for me; I know he’ll teach me all I need to know, and together we can handle it all! (“,)
