Time to Go Home!

Yogi was admitted on a Wednesday and we were discharged three days after and that’s on a Saturday. The doctor had his final round and checked Yogi at around 9 o’clock in the morning then left his discharged orders. I went to process his discharged documents afterward – went to the billing and the nurses’ station for his going-home orders given by his doctor.

In the picture, the nurse was already taking the dextrose from Yogi’s right hand. It was already around noon that time. Yogi was so excited to go home and we left the hospital at exactly 12:30 p.m.

There’s no place like home, really!

Smokin’

As part of Yogi’s treatment for his pneumonia, he had to take nebulizer medication every four hours at the hospital. There were times that he didn’t want to and i had to force him. He was able to take them all though.

Below is a picture i’ve taken while he was having fun inhaling the medicine – the smoke produced by the nebulizer. He was given a mask but he didn’t like wearing it. Looked like he was really having fun, huh? Hehe.

Day 2: Suite Room 265

We were able to transfer to our reserved room at almost 10 o’clock in the evening of Wednesday. Yogi and I already fell asleep waiting for the nurse to tell us. It was around 9 o’clock when the admitting section clerk called me about a room vacancy so, we waited for almost an hour. Yogi was already losing patience that time. He’s already bored and he badly wanted to watch his favorite channel, cartoon network. And when he saw the guy fetching us for transfer, he readily stood up and his eyes glowed with excitement.

Day 1 at the Hospital

Wednesday, August 12 @ 12:58 p.m. when Yogi was admitted at General Santos City Doctor’s Hospital. But it took us 3 hours to finally get settled in our room. The hospital’s ER was full of patients that afternoon and even though my brother and sister-in-law who came with us know everybody there since they’ve worked there before, but then again, everyone comes in a first come first serve basis. No problem though and we patiently waited.

Yogi had his x-ray taken too after we’re done in the ER before we went to the room. All private and suite rooms were occupied that time so we chose to stay in a semi-private room first while waiting for our reservation. I’ve always wanted either a private or suite room for many reasons like, you can do whatever you wanted to do without thinking of anyone, you have your privacy, etc.

Below are some of the pictures i’ve taken while we were still in the semi-private room. The patient on the second bed was also a kid, about Yogi’s age and guess what? They got along pretty well in just a few minutes. Well, kids.

Sick Again

Yes, my little Cherub is sick again. He’s having flu since Saturday and i’m worried sick about it. I had him checked by his Pediatrician on Saturday and he was given meds.

What worries me the more is he’s still sick today and it’s already their periodical examinations tomorrow until Friday. Today will be their final review but i do wonder if he’ll make it to school. He’s still in bed and i’ve been checking him from time to time. His fever has subsided though and i really hope he’s on his way to recovery. I’m really hoping and praying for that. Get well soon, my dear Yogi!
