The Little One’s Easter Surprises

Our first celebration of Easter was really an enjoyable one. The husband made sure that we had a blast and he made sure too that the little one will have his Easter presents like all the kids here. We don’t do this in our country that is why my son was really delighted upon seeing his gifts.

Super Sweet Surprises from the Little One

I was so surprised of what I saw on our dining table when I went out of the bedroom today. There was a letter, a picture of the three of us in a frame (my husband, my son and I), a plate covered with another plate and two napkins. And yes, my 7-year-old son did it. I was really touched and was teary-eyed. I actually thought it was from my husband since it is our anniversary today on when we met online.

The plate has two sandwiches with spread, miracle whip is the spread, I know because that is my son’s favorite spread. I haven’t eaten it yet though. I don’t want to touch it because I just love looking at it. He used the plates and napkins from the wedding. That’s probably why he was so busy tinkering on my things last night. Sneaky little one! Just like my hubby, eh!

And he drew little hearts all over it. Awww, isn’t that sweet? Any mother’s heart would surely melt with the heart-warming gesture. I know my husband had seen it because he woke up at 5 o’clock a.m. to go to work. I still have to know later what he can say about it. (“,)

Surprise Me, Honey!

My son has always been wanting to have his much-desired gadget, a PSP. My fiancé told me secretly that he will probably get it this Christmas. I was so happy to know it and it got me into thinking that maybe I will get my much-desired electronic gadget too, and that’s a Sony VAIO laptop. He didn’t give me a hint or anything but knowing him to love and enjoy giving surprises, I have this feeling that it will be my surprise gift this Christmas. Should I still call it a surprise when in fact I already got an idea? Hee hee.

Are You Listening, Honey? I Have a List, Too

My 7-year-old son enumerated to me again yesterday morning the list of toys and gadgets that he wants for Christmas. Of course, his much-desired PSP tops the list then DS comes second, toy cars came next and the list just goes on and on. To make everything easy, I just nod and nod and answer yes and yes. He can be adamant at times, but the good thing with him, if I say I can’t afford it, he will stop. But he’s not losing hope. He still believes that someday, I will be able to grant his wishes. He’s right, though, that we never know what the future holds. I will probably win the lottery next month and presto! He’ll get all that he wants.

For me, I only have one wish for this Christmas, material wise, and that’s to have an iPhone, and of course I’d love to have some elegant and hip Iphone accessories, and I so hope my wish will be granted by Santa, or my honey fiancé. (“,)

Surprises For Me Are Soon To Be!

I am not at all a materialistic person but I must admit and I won’t deny the fact that gifts do make me smile and definitely make my day. The thought behind the gift counts most of all, and being remembered on your special day or on any other occasion is simply heart-warming. And now that my birthday is fast approaching, I simply can’t hide my excitement. I know being a year older can be nerve-wracking and how I wish I could stop the clock from ticking so I would remain young forever, but the fact that I know I will be getting gifts, especially from my fiancé, just makes me giddy.

Knowing him to be generous, I know I will be getting a special present from him again. He’s probably already been thinking of, or perhaps has already got my gift. I have no idea, but he can be sneaky so I will just have to wait and see. I can still remember the 1st anniversary gifts that he sent me. Though I was already assuming that I’d get something, I never thought it would be so awesome and special. Aside from the flowers, there was also a durian cake and a lot of chocolates. Seeing the cake really caught me off guard. He knows how I like durian and he just nailed it. See how sneaky he can be? Now, I do wonder how sneaky he will be this time around. (“,)

Toy Astronaut

My son Yogi’s toy which was a gift from his godmother Jade last Christmas. Jade is now based in Norway and is working as a nurse there. She sent her family lots of gifts last Christmas and she’d never forgotten to send Yogi some gifts too. That’s so sweet of her, huh!

The toy astronaut came with toy cars and bunches of yummy dark chocolates. I enjoyed the chocolates a lot! (“,)

Lightning McQueen

My son Yogi’s an avid fan of the movie Cars. He actually watched the movie numerous times on DVD. So, I got him a remote-controlled Lightning McQueen car on Christmas. And as expected, he was overjoyed to see what’s inside the box that I wrapped myself.

I took this picture before I wrapped it because I know for certain that I won’t be able to take a photo of it once Yogi got hold of it already. Isn’t it nice?
