It was a month ago when my 7-year-old son Yogi learned how to send an SMS message using my cell phone. My mom, his granny, was out of town and he missed her so much that he insisted on learning how to do text messages. I only had to show him what to do a couple of times and that was it, he had it down pat. And since then, he’s been bugging me to buy him a cell phone. And that’s almost everyday, and more than a couple of times a day, at that – every time he remembers, that is. But he’s still too young to have a cell phone and I’ve told him that. He might lose it.

I do see a lot of kids with their own cell phones and other hi-tech electronics like a PSP, which he’d stop asking for after learning the price. Hehe. I might buy him a cell phone soon, but not yet. Gladly, he’s listened to Mommy. Good boy, Yogi!

Or the PlayStation Portable is the gadget that has been ringing in my ears lately. Not because I want to buy it but it’s because of my son Yogi who has been telling me to buy him one and even persuading my BA too. And you know kids, they can be demanding at times.

I’ll probably buy him one soon but not now. He wanted it now so badly that he’s almost telling me or reminding me every hour, if not every minute of the day. He haven’t mentioned about it yet today though. Maybe later. LOL.

Be patient, Yogi. You can’t always have what you want in a blink of an eye. Understood? Hee hee.

iPod Touch…

…for me, Mommy! That’s what I heard from Yogi right after my brother and his fiance’ Karen’s civil wedding ceremony on October 28. That was his Tita Karen’s iPod Touch he was holding. There were a lot of games there and knowing Yogi who’s already addicted to computer games, I know he’s going to ask and I wasn’t wrong.

But the good thing is, Yogi is a smart boy and he’s not pushy. When I said it’s expensive and I can’t afford it, he was silent then and just continued playing. When we’re about to leave, he simply asked his Tita Karen when she’ll visit us so he can borrow the gadget. Karen replied, “Tomorrow” which made Yogi jumped with glee.

And from that day on, he borrows Karen’s iPod Touch whenever she’s here. It would be a nice gift for Yogi, I know, but wait until I’ll win the lottery and he’ll for sure get not just one but two. LOL.
