Lightning McQueen

My son Yogi’s an avid fan of the movie Cars. He actually watched the movie numerous times on DVD. So, I got him a remote-controlled Lightning McQueen car on Christmas. And as expected, he was overjoyed to see what’s inside the box that I wrapped myself.

I took this picture before I wrapped it because I know for certain that I won’t be able to take a photo of it once Yogi got hold of it already. Isn’t it nice?

School Christmas Party

December 18th was Montessori School’s Christmas party for all grade levels. Parents and teachers decided to have the party at 4 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o’clock in the evening to avoid the heat of the sun. As you can see in the pictures, the sun was already down when it started and it was already dark when the party ended.

The kids had a blast. The program started with parlor games. Dinner followed afterwards then the exchanging of gifts. As expected, the kids smile with glee as they opened their presents that are mostly toys. Yogi received a set of twelve toy cars as gift.

A raffle draw was also part of the program and I was lucky to be one of the winners but I will write about that soon.

The party ended with fireworks display that everybody enjoyed watching. Merry Christmas!!!

He’s All Set

For their school’s Christmas Party tomorrow. Yep, my son is just as excited as all his classmates. They all can’t wait to open their gifts, I guess. They drew names and Yogi picked his classmate Angel. Glad he picked a girl because it’s easier to find gifts for girls than boys.

I already bought the gift for her but it did give me difficulty what to buy. I was thinking of a girly bag but I wasn’t able to find one that I like so I ended up buying a stuffed toy instead – a cutie little orange elephant. Where in the world could you find an orange elephant? Only in the toy section. LOL. I’ll bet Yogi’s classmate would love it.

I also bought Yogi his clothes to wear – a pair of pants and a polo shirt from Garfield. Will post it here soon.

The party will be held at the school campus and it will start at 4 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o’clock in the evening. It’ll be fun for sure!

It’s Christmas at the Mall

I was at the mall with the little one when these different kinds of Christmas decors and ornaments in bright colors and different designs and sizes fascinated me. And that wasn’t December yet when those decors were put up. That was October, if I’m not mistaken.

So, I let Yogi stand in there so I can take photos of him and he gladly obliged. I have no problems with him when it comes to taking pictures because it’s one thing that he likes doing. Like mother, like son, huh? LOL.

Aren’t the decors pretty? And look at those different sizes of Santa Claus. Yogi was amazed with them and he actually checked them one by one. When he was younger, he was afraid of Santa. Glad he’s not afraid now.

Merry Christmas one and all! (“,)
