I Love A Party!

There’s only five more days to go before my son’s 7th birthday. I already have plans of what food to buy, what his cake’s flavor and theme will be, and whom to invite. It will only be a small party and aside from a few of his close playmates and the family circle, I will just invite his godparents.

I will have my general cleaning done by Saturday to prepare the house and I will do my shopping galore tomorrow for the things needed for the party. I need to buy outdoor rugs to be used in the patio and near the main door. I also need to get those party hats and balloons for the kids; can’t forget about that! And of course, I will buy Yogi a new set of clothes for him to wear at the party, and perhaps me too. Good idea, eh! Hehe.

My weekend will definitely be a busy one!

An Achiever

The first thing that he did when he got home from school yesterday was to show me his test papers from their fourth grading exams. He was proud to say that he only got few wrong answers in all his exams – 5 mistakes being the highest making him one among the student achievers in their classroom. And his proud of that too. He actually broke the news to me when he finally got into the list of achievers. That’s my son, Yogi I was talking about and that being so simply makes me a super proud mom.

Way to go, Yogi. Their recognition is already this Friday and I can’t wait to go to the stage and pin his ribbon or perhaps, give him his medal. (“,)

We’re Soon To Be Teammates!

I was talking to my fiancé yesterday and he mentioned all the insurance that he needs and has, home insurance included. We usually talk about a lot of things in a day, but yesterday was different; the topic was all about insurance, especially since his current insurer is dropping all home policies and he’s going to have to find a new provider.

Lucky for me, I don’t have to think about home insurance or any of that stuff since my mom takes care of that; for now, anyway. But when the time comes that Yogi and I will be together with my fiancé, I’ll need to learn how to be deal with that kind of stuff. That’s a given because I’ll be helping my fiancé, my partner, in dealing with all aspects of our life together as a couple. But no worries for me; I know he’ll teach me all I need to know, and together we can handle it all! (“,)

A Win-Win Situation For Me

I’m planning to enroll Yogi for extra classes this summer like I did last year. It’s not going to be lsat prep, though, since he’s still too young for that. He’s only 6-years-old and he is still having difficulty with his reading ability. I want him to be a fast reader, so I’ll enroll him in reading classes.

I told my friend who is supervising a playroom at the mall, and she informed me that they are offering summer classes, plus free unlimited playing at the playroom afterwards. Yogi would be delighted with that idea, for sure. And I guess me too since I’d get to window shop, if not totally shop till I drop while Yogi’s having his tutorials and playing. Great idea, eh! Gotta love it!

Sleepyhead

Yep, Yogi is such a sleepyhead. And I am always having a hard time waking him up in the mornings especially during school days. Today is Saturday so I will just let him sleep as much as he want. Most probably, he will get up at 10 or 11 again. But during school days, I wake him up at 8:30 since the bus picks him up at 10:30 a.m.

I think most kids, if not all are like that. And summer coming to a close, oh boy! That makes me so glad since I won’t be having a hard time waking him up again. I’ll will just let him sleep and sleep and decide for himself whether he’ll already get up or not. Hee hee.

Capturing the Moment Forever

One more week to go and classes are over for my little one. March 26th, Friday will be their recognition day. I will be there to honor my son Yogi because that’s another major milestone for him – a moment that should not be missed. And what better way to capture such moments than with my digital camera. Yep, I’ll be Yogi’s photographer for the day and there will be a bunch of pictures that will be added into the bountiful file of pictures taken since he was a baby – most of which were just stored in our personal computer and were never developed at a developing center.

There was a time that I was actually thinking of buying a digital frame so I could store them all, but because of a lot of things filling my mind, I just forgot about it. But with Yogi’s recognition day coming up, getting a digital frame entered my thoughts again. Maybe this is the best time to get one, while it’s fresh on my mind. Got to go and check one out, as in RIGHT NOW!

Dream Big and Go For It!

Next school year my son will already be in the 2nd grade. And before I know it, he’ll be in high-school, and then off to college. That’s how time flies so fast. But I’m enjoying each moment with him in his childhood years and I’m hoping that he will continue growing as the fine young man he is, with big dreams and hopes for the future. At his young age, he already speaks of what he wants to become, the career he wants to pursue after college. I know there’s a tendency for that to change in the future, but the fact that he has such dreams really makes me a happy mom.

He is showing admiration to those people whom are now enjoying the jobs that he thinks of, like pilots, doctors and even soldiers. When he’s a little older, I plan to tell him about richard willich philanthropy, a man whose life and deeds I really admire, and I know I’m not the only one who admires him. His determination to have a happy life as well as help make other people’s lives better is simply admirable. He deserves his success, and I know my son will be delighted and hopefully inspired to even greater heights when he hears his story.
